一般描述

Potassium thiocyanate (KSCN) is a potassium salt of thiocyanate anion. Its crystalline structure has been analyzed based on polarized infrared spectral data.[1] The inhibition efficiency of KSCN dissolved in 1M HCl against the corrosion of carbon-steel has been evaluated. It facilitates the ring opening of aziridines with high regioselectivity.[2]

应用

Potassium thiocyanate may be used in the synthesis of the following:

α-Amino nitriles from tertiary amines.[3]
Polysubstituted 2-aminothiazoles from vinyl azides.[4]
Benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one derivatives from o-bromobenzamides.[5]
Diaryl thioethers from aryl halides.[6]
