生化/生理作用

溴甲酚紫是一种 pH 指示剂，可将颜色从黄色（低至 pH 5.2）变为紫色（高于 pH 6.8）。[2]主要用作酵母细胞中的荧光染料。有助于细胞膜损伤细胞的死细胞计数。细胞膜正常的细胞不被染色，而受损的细胞则为蓝灰色重影。[3]
