Amidoethylethanolamine dendrimers provide dual functional cationic - amine surfaces. The group is connected to the dendrimer through the typical amide or peptide linkage and provides both a secondary amine as well as a terminal primary alcohol. These surface groups will be fairly polar with differential surface reactivity. The reaction and structure is similar to the less reactive amidoethanol dendrimers.
