Interleukin 18, also known as interferon-γ-inducing factor (IGIF) and IL-1γ, is a proinflammatory cytokine. It is an inducer of IFN-γ and Th1 (T cell helper type 1) responses (cell differentiation, cell-mediated cytotoxicity and inflammation). IL-18 induces the migration of microvascular endothelial cells.

 

Lyophilized from 20 mM Tris , 500 mM NaCl, 0.5 mM EDTA, 1 mM TCEP, 0.05% (w/v) PEG8000 pH 8.0 with 5% Trehalose,and 50 μg BSA per μg IL-18

 

The biological activity is measured by its ability to induce mouse IFN-γ production by activated mouse T cells.
