生化/生理作用

复方泻药/泻药；通过释放内源性乙酰胆碱来增加肠道平滑肌的收缩。抗肿瘤活性与活性氧簇 (ROS) 产生增加相关，活性氧簇反过来降低线粒体跨膜电位，从而诱导渗透性转换，启动一系列事件，最终导致细胞凋亡。遗传毒性和致突变性似乎是由于芦荟大黄素抑制了拓扑异构酶II的活性。
