一般描述

Choline chloride (ChCl) is a quaternary ammonium salt. The unusual solvent properties of eutectic mixtures of urea and choline chloride make it useful as a biodegradable ambient-temperature solvent for a number of applications; such as a reaction medium for the synthesis of coordination polymer: Zn(O3PCH2CO2)].NH4. Ethylene glycol/choline chloride and urea based eutectic solvents can be used for the electrodeposition of Zn, Sn and Zn/Sn alloys. Choline chloride.xZnCl2 participates as a catalyst during the reaction between benzaldehyde and neopentyl glycol.
 

应用

Choline chloride may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of choline in biological fluids and dairy products by high-throughput method based on normal-phase chromatography−tandem mass spectrometry and flow injection analysis and amperometric detection with a choline oxidase based biosensor, respectively.
 

生化/生理作用

丁酰胆碱酯酶（BChE）和对氧磷酯酶1（PON1）是由肝脏合成的并且与炎症相关的血清酶，这两种酶在注射LPS的脓毒症动物模型中的活性降低。氯化胆碱以20mg/kg体重的剂量静脉注射给药，可防止LPS介导的BChE和PON1酶活性降低 。
