Lithium hydroxide monohydrate is a hydrate of alkali metal hydroxide. Its IR spectral analysis has been reported.
[1] A refinement of its crystal structure has been described. Its crystals belong to the monoclinic crystal system having space group
C2/
m.
[2] It can be prepared by reacting Li metal with H
2O, followed by the evaporation of the aqueous solution.
[3] It can be also be obtained from the basic aqueous solution of LiOH, via crystallization.
